returning to the dark side; oil explorations

I'm done with the Wind-Up Bird Chronicle series. I wanted to start something new. Above is the sketch of the new piece and below are the finishes for the last two. Tim says I should rework the face on the guy because it's awful. I agree. I'm just reluctant to rework it.

hey, what up, girl?

All pieces are still in progress. I'm looking forward to painting the two big pieces. They are 15" x 29"- NOT fun to scan. Ignore the ugly ridge on the last piece. My camera is still at the shop and I had to scan it in three pieces (and photomerge hates me).

I get it (even if I don't want to)

The first piece is the final composition, but I will be painting them as two separate paintings. I'm really interested in what you think it's about. Before I give it away, what did you think of initially?


These are the next in the Wind-Up Bird Chronicle series. I'm straying farther and farther away from the book. It's beginning to really bore me.

I'm taking a hiatus from my 'big ass sketchbook.' I started a new book last week. Will scan in some pages soon.
