My friend Kevin and I started this project at the beginning of the summer. We both made books that are the same size and shape and will be working on the two as a collaboration with the theme 'elements of danger' in mind.

I will be donating a mounted print of this piece for the Art13 Benefit Auction tomorrow. Art13 is a program in a NYC public school (Public School 126 / Manhattan Academy of Technology) and the money from the auction will help the program purchase art supplies.

It will be at Lombard-Freid Projects which has a big, new 4,000 square foot, ground floor space on 19th Street. The host is Cey Adams from Def Jam. More info here!

I'm done with the Wind-Up Bird Chronicle series. I wanted to start something new. Above is the sketch of the new piece and below are the finishes for the last two. I have to rework the face.

I've had this comic in my head for a few weeks now. It was originally going to be 1 page, but I've had a lot material to work with. It's quite the mess and might be a bit difficult to read but it speaks true to what it's about. I really need to work on laying out my type. Maybe I should start using pre-made fonts. What do you think? Computer or handwritten?

Hey folks, I'm back (with new drawings!) I brought this leather sketchbook with me on the trip finished exactly half the book. I only got a chance to work on it in the hotel room a little bit and during some resting time by the pool. The layover in North Carolina also helped. I was mostly experimenting with the materials I had brought with me.

I used to draw my grotesque balding chicken-like english teacher in high school a lot. At first, it was merely my fascination with how gross he was. And then the chicken doodles became elaborate stories of his adventures falling from the chicken kingdom. Over the years, this character has evolved into Hank.

These are my three most recent pieces for the NY Observer (newer ones first). I'm trying to keep myself interested since I've been so unmotivated as of late. All three are painted with nail polish. I wanted to experiment with something other than acrylic. But I think this will be the end of my nail polish adventures. The morning after headaches I've been getting from the enamel asphyxiation are not fun.

This was my editorial for this week's class. It was for an article about the Weatherman who advocated peace through violent means. Below are the first two comics I did for my sequential class this semester. I finally got around to scanning them. Watchmen format. Black and White only. The first one is my interpretation of Percy Shelley's Ozymandias. The second is one of Shakespeare's sonnets.

This is my final assignment for my pop-up book class. It is a self-promotional piece. The man in the red scarf (holding my business card) is running away from monsters. In the right flap, he runs onto the roof of the house that is burning down (there is a small flame inside) only to have the monsters come after him. There is an artist (my cameo) that is painting this entire scene.
