A Perfect Day for Bananafish

This is by far my favorite assignment of this semester. The assignment was to create 5 conceptual pieces in a book format based on an existing story. I chose J.D. Salinger's A Pefect Day for Bananafish. It is my favorite short story so I was more than thrilled to finally get to illustrate it. The first image is the wooden "book" I made to hold the individual panels. It measures roughly 9 x 11 x 1.5.

These aren't scanned. Why are they not scanned?

The scanner catches too much of the glare from the heavy gloss medium I put over it. So I have to photograph them. (Some of these could be clearer I admit)

these pictures don't do justice to the originals! (guess it's never going to be the same as the real thing) the last one is still my favorite. :D
